Ingredients
Scale
Fudge Base
- 6 Cadbury Creme Eggs (or similar chocolate eggs)
- 200 g (7 oz) dark or milk chocolate, chopped
- 100 g (3.5 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 50 g (2 tbsp) unsalted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Optional Toppings
- Crushed Cadbury Eggs pieces
- Mini chocolate chips
- Drizzle of white chocolate
Instructions
- Prepare the pan: Line a small square pan (around 8×8 in / 20×20 cm) with parchment paper to ensure easy removal of the fudge.
- Melt the fudge base: In a heatproof bowl, combine the chopped chocolate, butter, and sweetened condensed milk. Melt gently over a double boiler or microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until the mixture is smooth and fully melted. Stir in the vanilla extract to incorporate flavor evenly.
- Add Cadbury Egg magic: Roughly chop 4–5 of the Cadbury Creme Eggs and gently fold them into the warm chocolate mixture to distribute the creamy chunks throughout the fudge.
- Pour and chill: Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared pan and smooth the top using a spatula. Optionally, decorate the surface with the remaining Cadbury Egg pieces or mini chocolate chips for added texture and appearance. Refrigerate the fudge for 2 hours or until it becomes firm to the touch.
- Serve: Once set, remove the fudge from the pan using the parchment paper, cut into squares or rectangles, and serve. For extra flair, drizzle melted white chocolate over the top before slicing to add a touch of elegance and contrast in flavor.
Notes
- Use a mix of milk and dark chocolate for a richer, more complex flavor profile.
- For an extra creamy texture, fold in a tablespoon of cream cheese before chilling the fudge.
- Keep refrigerated as this fudge is quite soft at room temperature and melts easily.
- Make sure to chop the Cadbury Eggs roughly, so you have visible soft caramel and cream pieces spread throughout the fudge.
- If microwaving, be careful not to overheat the chocolate as it can seize; stir thoroughly between intervals.
