- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
For the Wraps
- 4 large flour tortillas or flatbreads
- 1 cup chopped romaine lettuce
- 1/2 cup sliced cucumbers
- 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes
For the Creamy Feta Sauce
- 1/2 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 small clove garlic, grated
- Black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Sauté Onions: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sauté the diced onion until softened, about 3 minutes.
- Cook Garlic: Add the minced garlic to the skillet and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Brown Ground Beef: Add the ground beef to the pan and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Season Beef: Stir in cumin, paprika, coriander, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 2–3 minutes until fragrant, then remove from heat.
- Prepare Feta Sauce: In a small bowl, mix crumbled feta cheese, Greek yogurt, olive oil, lemon juice, grated garlic, and black pepper until smooth and creamy.
- Warm Tortillas: Warm the tortillas or flatbreads slightly to make them pliable.
- Assemble Wraps: Spoon the spiced beef onto each wrap and top with romaine lettuce, cucumbers, and tomatoes.
- Add Sauce and Serve: Drizzle generously with the creamy feta sauce, roll up the wraps, and serve immediately.
Notes
- For a lighter option, use whole wheat tortillas or low-carb flatbreads.
- Feel free to add other toppings such as sliced olives or red onions for extra flavor.
- The creamy feta sauce can be prepared ahead and stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
- To make the beef spicier, add a pinch of red chili flakes or cayenne pepper during seasoning.
- Keep the tortillas warm wrapped in a clean towel before assembling to make rolling easier.
