Description
A flavorful Texas Roadhouse-style salmon recipe featuring a sweet and savory brown sugar glaze with soy sauce, honey, and spices, baked to perfection in just under 30 minutes.
Ingredients
Scale
Salmon
- 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)
Glaze
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
Garnish
- Fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prepare for baking the salmon.
- Make Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together brown sugar, soy sauce, melted butter, honey, garlic powder, black pepper, and paprika until smooth and well combined.
- Prepare Salmon: Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and place them on the lined baking sheet. Brush half of the prepared glaze evenly over the fillets to coat them.
- Bake Salmon: Bake the salmon for 8 minutes. Then remove from the oven, brush the fillets with the remaining glaze, and return to the oven. Bake for an additional 8 to 10 minutes or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F.
- Rest and Garnish: Remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for 2 minutes. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- Ensure salmon is cooked to an internal temperature of 145°F for safe consumption.
- Patting the salmon dry helps the glaze adhere better.
- Use fresh parsley for the best garnish flavor and appearance.
- Can be served with steamed vegetables or rice for a complete meal.
