Description

A flavorful Texas Roadhouse-style salmon recipe featuring a sweet and savory brown sugar glaze with soy sauce, honey, and spices, baked to perfection in just under 30 minutes.

Ingredients

Scale

Salmon

  • 4 salmon fillets (6 oz each)

Glaze

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon paprika

Garnish

  • Fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prepare for baking the salmon.
  2. Make Glaze: In a small bowl, whisk together brown sugar, soy sauce, melted butter, honey, garlic powder, black pepper, and paprika until smooth and well combined.
  3. Prepare Salmon: Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and place them on the lined baking sheet. Brush half of the prepared glaze evenly over the fillets to coat them.
  4. Bake Salmon: Bake the salmon for 8 minutes. Then remove from the oven, brush the fillets with the remaining glaze, and return to the oven. Bake for an additional 8 to 10 minutes or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork and reaches an internal temperature of 145°F.
  5. Rest and Garnish: Remove the salmon from the oven and let it rest for 2 minutes. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Ensure salmon is cooked to an internal temperature of 145°F for safe consumption.
  • Patting the salmon dry helps the glaze adhere better.
  • Use fresh parsley for the best garnish flavor and appearance.
  • Can be served with steamed vegetables or rice for a complete meal.
